It seems the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) will be a Flipkart Exclusive
Flipkart has started teasing the launch of the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 (2016) on its social media accounts, which hints that both will be exclusively available online at the eCommerce portal.
The online retailer has also created a parking page with a timer counting down to May 10th, when the phone will be available for sale. Given that Samsung is making both the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 (2016) in India, there will be considerable stock available and should go on open sale as most smartphones by the company do.
Coming to specs, the Galaxy J5 2016 comes with a 5.2-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED display running on a Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage and Android Marshmallow. The Galaxy J7 2016 would come with a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display running on the Exynos 7870 with 3GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, also with Marshmallow running the show.
Both will feature 13MP rear cameras with f/1.9 aperture lens alongwith a 5MP wide-angle front-camera also with f/1.9 aperture lens for lower noise even in less than ideal lighting conditions. The new Galaxy J5 is expected to feature a 3100 mAh battery, while the J7 will get a 3300 mAh unit all tucked in a metal frame with glass front and plastic back.
We will be covering the launch event live on May 9th, stay tuned for our coverage where we will know the exact pricing of the new Galaxy J 2016 devices.
