Flappy Bird bites the dust, developer takes down viral game
Flappy Bird has flapped its wings for the last time on Android and iOS smartphones. The developer, Dong Nguyen, has taken the game down from both the App Store and the Play Store citing that he was unable to "take this anymore". The frustrating game became an instant success on both app stores with millions of downloads and the position at top of the charts on best free apps earning the developer a whopping $50,000 in revenue daily.
But the frustrating game was just too much for the developer to handle too, with users raging on social media websites about how they felt about the game. Scathing reviews didn't help his cause either. For now, Flappy Bird is down but the developer promises that he will continue making games.
