Eddy launches Ben 10 and Creativity Tablets for Kids in partnership with Cartoon Network

Metis Learning, the company behind tablet maker Eddy today launched Ben 10 and Creativity tablet for kids in partnership with Cartoon Network and Intel. Both these tablets are catered towards children and come with the company's own Athena OS skin on top of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

There are parental controls built in which let you control the content your children watch and for how long. Moreover, the core Android OS, ability to install apps, games and access internet is limited to only the "Parent Zone" which the children would not have access to. You can setup multiple profiles on both tablets for your children.

Both the Ben 10 and Creativity tablets are essentially the same tablet, with same specs. But the Ben 10 tablet comes with a skin on the back-cover depicting the cartoon and the Athena OS has been customized on the inside to show everything in a more cartoon manner including the animation and sounds. You have preloaded games and some episodes of Ben 10 here on the tablet as well. There are several learning games pre-loaded as well from acclaimed international app developers. Both tablets are meant for children aged 3 and above.

Both the Eddy tablets come with hundreds of activities, games, books and videos which would keep your child engaged in a productive yet fun manner. Moreover, they can explore their creativity with several apps that let you draw, color or even create your own animations.

The new Eddy Ben 10 and Creative tablets come with a 7-inch IPS display (1024x600 pixels), run on the dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G via dongle. There are two 2 MP cameras here, one in the front and the other at the back. A 2800 mAh battery powers both tablets which according to Eddy is enough to last about 4 hours of typical use.
