MediaTek Dimensity 2000 5nm SoC could arrive in Q1 2022, Dimensity 1200 6nm SoC to be launched on Jan 20th.
MediaTek is working on its new Dimensity 2000 5nm and Dimensity 1200 6nm processor, according to leakster Digital Chat Station. As per the renders, the Dimensity 1200 will be introduced in Q1 2021 that used in OPPO and Vivo phones. We know that the Dimensity 1000, Dimensity 800 and the Dimensity 720 are being used in OPPO, realme, and HONOR phones already.
According to the leaks, The Dimensity 2000 SoC will be expected to arrive in Q1 2022 with ARM Cortex X2, ARM Cortex-A79 CPU along with ARM Mali G79 GPU, which will be expected to be announced later this year. MediaTek has started teasing its new Dimensity processors for 2021 that will be introduced at an event tomorrow, January 20th. This should be the Dimensity 1200 SoC where the company already confirmed that it will introduce a new premium 6nm 5G processor with Cortex-A78 CPU clocked up to 3GHz.
The AnTuTu scores of the processor that was surfaced recently show better performance as compared to Snapdragon 865 SoC, and also said that it uses quad-core Cortex-A78 along with quad-core Cortex-A55 and Mali-G77 GPU, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 support.
