Asus Zenfone Pegasus 3S launched with massive 5000 mAh battery, Android Nougat

Asus has just launched a new phone in its Pegasus series in China. The Pegasus 3S packs a massive 5000 mAh battery is a relatively thin 8.9mm aluminum body and it boots Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. This is the same phone which was rumored to be called the Zenfone 4 Max ahead of CES 2017.

It runs on the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor backed by 3GB RAM and a choice of 32GB or 64GB of internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot up to 2TB. The fingerprint sensor on the Pegasus 3S has been moved to the front, just below the display but you have on-screen buttons on the device instead of capacitive buttons on both sides of the home button. It supports up to 5 fingerprints, along with mobile payments. Talking about the screen, this phone has a 5.2-inch 720p HD IPS display with 2.5D curved glass covering it for protection. The back of the phone is a smooth sheet of metal with an antenna line at the bottom breaking the monotony. There's a 13-megapixel rear camera here as well which has a f/2.0 aperture lens, phase-detection autofocus, and uses Sony IMX258 sensor for crisp images. In the front, there's an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video chat. There is a separate night mode available here along with a Pro mode which lets you control manual autofocus, ISO and other camera aspects.

It comes with a dual-SIM slot which supports 4G VoLTE, Carrier Aggregation, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS as well.

The Zenfone Pegasus 3S has been priced at 1999 Yuan (Rs. 19700 or $288) for the 64GB storage variant and it will be going on sale later this month.
