Asus just launched the Zenfone 3 Zoom and Zenfone AR at its CES 2017 event. While the Zenfone 3 Zoom packs dual cameras with optical zoom and 5000 mAh battery, the Zenfone AR gets to be the first smartphone with 8GB RAM. But what's more important is, the Zenfone AR features support for both Tango - Google's Augmented Reality Platform as well as DayDream Virtual Reality platform.

To power the Tango part of the Zenfone AR, there's a 23-megapixel real camera with two separate motion tracking and depth sensing cameras. You will be able to use over 30 apps from the Google Play Store which work with Tango Augmented Reality features. Read More: Asus Zenfone AR Full Specifications and Images

In the front, you will find a 5.7-inch Quad-HD (1440x2560 Pixels) AMOLED display but it's still quite manageable when compared to the 6.4-inch Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, the first Tango smartphone. You also get the much powerful Snapdragon 821 processor inside with 8GB RAM - a first for smartphones. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Asus has also put a five magnet speaker that supports high-definition audio and DTS for better virtual surround audio. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the Zenfone AR but Asus says, it will be available sometime in Q2 2017.
