    ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie

Asus had announced multiple ZenFone 4 variants last month at Computex 2017. The company has now started sending media invites for the new smartphone series launch in India.

At Computex, Asus announced the Zenfone 4, Zenfone 4 Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, ZenFone 4 Max, and Zenfone 4 Max Pro.

Given the company has been promoting its #DitchTheSelfieStick social media campaign, chances are that we may see the selfie-focused ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro launch in India first followed by the other Zenfone 4 variants.

The ZenFone 4 Selfie sports a 5.5-inch full HD display covered by 2.5D curved glass. Under the hood, it sports an octa-core Snapdragon 430 CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. You can expand the storage up to 128 GB using an external SD card. At the back, you will find a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture lens capable of recording 1080p videos. Since this is meant for taking selfies, you find two cameras in the front. A 20MP main camera along with an 8MP secondary camera to capture depth information. You will get Bokeh effect for the front camera as well, moreover, the wide 20MP lens would also let you get more of your friends in a single shot. The ZenFone 4 Selfie comes with a 3000 mAh non-removable battery and has been priced at EUR 299 which roughly translates to about Rs. 22550.

    ASUS ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro

When it comes to the Pro variant, the display size remains the same at 5.5-inches. The Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro's AMOLED display is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass and it runs on the 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4 GB of RAM. There's 64GB internal storage onboard as well. Even though the back camera of ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro sports the same sensor on ZenFone 4 Selfie, the selfie camera features 12 MP primary front camera with Sony IMX362 sensor and another 120-degree secondary wide angle lens camera. The smartphone hit the European market at a price of EUR 399.99 (around Rs. 30,050).

Asus New Zenfone 4 Series India launch invite

At present, there is no word on pricing in India. But if Asus should have learnt anything from last time around, pricing has always been the key to cracking sales here.
