ASUS ROG Phone 5 to be launched on March 10 with Snapdragon 888 SoC, 6000mAh battery
ASUS has confirmed the launch of its latest flagship smartphone ASUS ROG Phone 5 on March 10th in Taiwan, Germany, and the USA. This will be the successor of the ROG Phone 3 that was launch back in July last year. Last time the company launched the phone in India alongside, but now the company didn’t reveal India launch details for the ROG Phone 5 yet. The phone already got certified by TENAA with the model number ASUS_I005DA last month that revealed dot-matrix Aura Lighting on the back panel, which shows the ROG logo and might be it should be customizable using the software.
The certification revealed that the phone comes with a 6.78-inch OLED display that should be an FHD+ AMOLED 144Hz screen, 6000mAh battery (2x 3000mAh batteries) that supports 65W fast wired charging, and works on Android 11. Geekbench listing already revealed Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB of RAM last year December, but the phone should also have a 12GB RAM version. The phone could come with 64MP triple rear cameras, but there are no details about the cameras.
The ASUS ROG Phone 5 launch event held on March 10th at 7 PM Taipei time (4:30 PM IST). We should know more details and the full specification of the phone in the coming days before the launch.
