    LG_G2 Official

After what seems like months and months of waiting, the LG G2 is finally official. The display on the phone is pegged at 5.2-inches with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. But what's different about the display of the G2 is that its size bezels are extremely thin at just 2mm.

Then there are no hardware keys on the front or the sides, so where's the power and volume buttons. They are on the back of course, like we've seen in previous leaked and press shots. The volume keys can also be used as camera shortcuts as well as LG's quick Memo feature. If you find the power/lock button too awkward, you can also unlock the phone by double tapping on the display.

    Hardware

The LG G2 is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. According to Qualcomm, this is the first phone to be launched globally with the company's latest processor. The phone will be available in 16GB Or 32GB storage capacity, which can be expanded upto 64GB with a microSD card. The phone has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0, plus LTE-Advanced in supported markets.

In terms of imaging, you have a 13MP primary camera with Optical Image Stabilization which can record 1080p videos at a whopping 60FPS. There's a also a 2.1MP front-facing camera for great selfies, and it too can record 1080p videos at 30FPS. There's something to say about the audio hardware of the LG G2 as well, which can reproduce Hi-Fi 24 bit sound at 192KHz, at par with high-end speakers and audio systems. The phone also comes with an infrared port to control your home entertainment devices, which can be taught to understand their remote controls.

The LG G2 runs everything using its 3,000mAh Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) battery.

    Features

There are several new features in the new LG Flagship including several gestures to make using the phone easier, which is a continuing theme with the G2. As I said earlier you can wake up the phone with a double tap on the display, and turn if back of by tapping it again. The phone also auto answers calls if you bring it close to your ear, there's also a guest mode with restrictions which hides all your data from anyone else using the device.

In terms of multitasking, other than the default multitasking abilities of Android, the LG G2 adds a new three finger swipe from the left which minimizes the current app, and swiping back gets you back where you left. The phone can save states of upto 3 applications using this gesture. The new screenshot feature can take a screenshot of not just your viewport, but even its extension such as a complete webpage.

    Availability

LG G2 will be available in black or white color and will be launched to over 130 carriers around the world in the next eight weeks, starting with South Korea, North America and Europe.
