Jolla has launched its first handset, the Jolla running Sailfish OS in India priced at Rs. 16,499 exclusively on Snapdeal. Spec-wise, Jolla is asking much higher price as you get a 4.5-inch qHD display, dual-core Snapdragon with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB storage.

At its recently concluded event where Apple launched the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the company also announced the launch of iOS 8 for September 17 and right on cue it is now available for iPhones, iPads and the iPod Touch.

Google today announced its budget Android One smartphones programme in India with the Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream Uno Mi-498. All three are now available through Amazon, Snapdeal and Flipkart respectively.

Google has now formally announced Android One smartphone from Micromax, Spice and Karbonn. The Android One handsets from the three manufacturers feature the exact same specs but differ in design.

Karbonn has launched its first Android One smartphone, Sparkle V. It comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, running on a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB of expandable storage.

Spice's Android One Dream UNO Mi-498 smartphone comes with a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek Processor (probably MT6582M) with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB native storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. The cameras are 5 MP/ 2 MP.

Just this morning Karbonn teased a new phone for September 15 release, same day Google's Android One announcement will be made in India. Now we have teasers from both Micromax as well as Spice on their own Android One smartphone releasing on the same day.
