ZUK R1 sporting 4.7-inch display, Helio P10 surfaces on GFXBench
It seems Lenovo is set to expand its ZUK line-up of smartphones with the ZUK R1 which just made it to hardware benchmarking site GFXBench sporting a 4.7-inch display running on the octa-core Helio P10 processor with Mali-T860 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. This could be the alleged Lenovo ZUK Z1 Mini which was rumored earlier.
The listing for the new ZUK R1 also shows that the phone may sport a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front selfie camera. So far ZUK has released two smartphones the ZUK Z1 and ZUK Z2 Pro, out of which the ZUK Z1 was just launched in India yesterday.
ZUK now has an exclusive tie-in with Cyanogen and the according to the listing the ZUK R1 runs Android Marshmallow v6.0, but that's not the interesting part. If you look closely at the image above, just below Android 6.0, it says Android Google Play Edition. Now, that can be a hint that ZUK is now moving to stock Android or we may see this phone listed in the Google Play Store pretty soon.
At present this is all we have for you, but we'll keep you posted about any developments.
