Xiaomi Mi Note with Snapdragon 801, 5.7-inch 1080p display, 3 GB RAM announced
Xiaomi has just announced two new smartphones, the Xiaomi Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro in China. The new Xiaomi Mi Note comes with a larger 5.7-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved glass on top, Gorilla Glass protection, 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM and 16 or 64 GB of storage running Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI on top.
The back of the phone is also protected by gorilla glass. There's the ESS ES9018K2M chip for studio-quality sound decoding at 24-bit/192 KHz alongwith TI's OMA1612 amplifier for better sound output.
There's a 13 MP rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization, dual-tone LED flash, Sony BSI sensor and a 4 MP front camera, the same setup found on the Mi Note Pro.
The Xiaomi Mi Note will be available in black and white colors priced at 2299 Chinese Yuan (about $370 or Rs. 23,000) for the 16 GB storage variant and the 64 GB variant will retail for 2799 Chinese Yuan (about $450 or Rs. 28,000). It will go on sale later this month in China but there's no word on a global rollout.
