Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 to be launched on July 19th Globally; Expected Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 60MP portrait camera

Xiaomi has officially announced the upcoming launch of the MIX Fold 4, their latest foldable smartphone in China, scheduled for July 19th, after rumours and teasers. The company has unveiled an official image of the phone in a blue colour variant, describing it as a "fully equipped flagship."

The image showcases its sleek, lightweight design. Despite the blue body, the camera module stands out in black with a rounded shape. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 features an inward folding screen and includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It is anticipated to achieve IPX8 water resistance ratings.

Notably, the phone will debut with a Leica Summilux lens, marking a first for Xiaomi. According to earlier reports, its camera setup is rumoured to include a 50-megapixel OV50E 1/1.55″ primary camera, a 13MP OV13B 1/3.06″ ultra-wide-angle camera, a 60MP OV60A 1/2.8″ 2x portrait camera, and a 10MP S5K3K1 1/3.94″ 5x periscope telephoto lens. For selfies, it will feature a 16MP OV16F front camera.

The MIX Fold 4 is expected to pack a 5000mAh battery with support for both fast charging and wireless charging. Benchmark tests have already revealed that it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun will deliver the annual speech at the launch event, where further details about the device are expected to be disclosed before its official release later this week.
