New Xiaomi Mi 6 render shows dual-camera setup, expected to launch on April 11

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone the Mi 6, expected to run on MIUI 9 with Android Nougat onboard. Some of the things we haven't heard about the Mi 6, includes its camera and pricing, which have been hinted with the new leaks.

The Mi 6 is expected to come with a dual-camera setup using Sony's latest IMX400 sensors which features, 5-axis stabilization and a 5.15-inch 1080p AMOLED display. Then there's the larger Mi 6 Plus with a 5.7-inch to take on the iPhone 7 Plus which should also pack 12MP + 20MP dual cameras. Although manufacturers are moving towards dual stereo speakers on some flagships including Apple, Xiaomi is expected to keep a bottom firing speaker on both phones.

The fingerprint sensor can be seen on the front which could be of the under-glass variety we saw with Xiaomi's latest offerings. Along with the MI 6, MI 6 Plus, Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi Pad 3 at its April 11th event in China.

Coming to pricing, the Mi 6 is expected to start at 1999 yuan or about Rs. 18900 ($290) for the base model with 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage going up to 2699 yuan for the 6GB RAM variant with 128GB onboard storage.
