It would run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with some Motorola enhacements like double karate chop to light up the rear camera flash, double twist to start the camera and some others. It is dual-SIM 4G VoLTE capable smartphone and works with the Reliance Jio network in India. Pricing is going to be aggressive for the Moto G5 as well, and it is expected to come in under Rs. 11,000.
Coming to the rest of the specs, the G5 has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture lens and can record 1080p videos at 30 FPS, there's a 5MP front facing camera as well with Auto-HDR mode for better selfies. On the sensors front, you would get the fingerprint sensor up front, magnetic field sensor as well as a gyroscope. Whether there is an notification LED or not, we still need to confirm.
All this is powered by a 2800 mAh battery which is non-removable, however storage is expandable on the phone with microSD cards. Just like the Moto G5 Plus, we can assume that the Moto G5 will be a Flipkart exclusive at the start. We will know more about pricing and availability at the launch on 4th April.
