Xiaomi Mi3 sold out in 5 seconds in India, Mi4 takes 37 seconds in China, creating new records

Flipkart and Xiaomi announced that the second batch of the Mi3 was sold in within 5 seconds of it being available on the site. Even though most users logged into the site 2-3 hours before the sale at 2 PM, most saw "Out of Stock" sign even before they could add the Mi3 to their cart.

Xiaomi also proudly claimed that the first sale of the Mi4 in China was sold out in just 37 seconds. Although in both cases the company didn't mention the number of units that were on sale. The Xiaomi Mi4 is going to be China exclusive for a while so the Mi3 is going to a very sought after phone in the Indian sub-continent.

The first sale of the Mi3 saw server issues plaguing Flipkart but this time around it was smooth sailing. The next sale is on 5th August and registration is mandatory even if you have previously registered for the sale.
