Xiaomi Mi 3 flash sales are becoming a pain in India. Even with 6 flash sales and 20,000 units in the just concluded sale most people return empty handed. Today's sale of 20,000 units went out of stock in just a few seconds. Getting the Xiaomi Mi 3 has become harder than finding a plot in the Twilight novels.

With pre-registrations also opening up for the Redmi 1S today evening, Xiaomi may have another chance to inflict more pain. Its like having Daft Punk's "One More Time" on an infinite loop without an end in sight.

Nevertheless, its an excellent strategy with minimum input. The Mi 3 has received generally favorable reviews everywhere which is great for a phone priced in the mid-range segment with flagship specs.
