Vivo X100 Ultra, X100s, and X100s Pro to be launched on May 13; Expected Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3/Dimensity 9300+ SoC
Vivo has officially announced the release date of its flagship smartphones, the X100 Ultra, X100s, and X100s Pro, set to debut in China on May 13th. The vivo X100 Ultra is anticipated to run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and boast a 1/1.4″ 200-megapixel Zeiss APO super-telephoto camera, which is purportedly the largest in the industry. Reports suggest it will feature an f/2.67 aperture, a physical focal length of 22.48mm, and the ability to output a resolution of 12888 x 16320 in high-pixel mode.
Additionally, rumors suggest the device will include a 50MP 1″ LYT-900 main camera, an upgrade from the IMX989 found in the X100 Pro. Teasers indicate a design with a metal frame, curved screen, and a VARIO APO SONNAR periscope lens developed in collaboration with ZEISS, offering an aperture ranging from f/1.75 to f/2.67 and a focal length of 14 to 85mm.
The phone is rumored to support a CIPA 4.5 level anti-shake gimbal, with a focus on features like "high-speed sports," "night portraits," and "extreme macro." vivo has also shared images taken with the telephoto camera. The X100 Ultra is said to be available in Titanium White and Black, offered in 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB configurations.
On the other hand, the vivo X100S series is expected to introduce several features, including the Dimensity 9300+ SoC, a 120W GaN charger, UFCS integrated fast charging, a 6.78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED flat screen, and a flat metal frame, along with a glass back.
Teased images showcase a new green color option, a VARIO TESSAR lens, an aperture range of f/1.57 to f/2.57, and a focal length of 15 to 70mm. The vivo X100s is rumored to come in Titanium Black, Blue, and White colors, while the X100s Pro variant may only be available in Titanium Black and White. These models are expected to offer configurations of 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB.
