Vivo has officially announced the launch of the S18 series, comprising the S18 and S18 Pro, as the next iteration following the S17 series in China on December 14th, after rumors and teasers. The revealed images showcase the phones in vibrant green and blue hues, featuring a conspicuous Aura light beneath the camera module.

Jia Jingdong, the Vice President of Branding at vivo, has verified the specifications of the S18 series phones. The company has also provided a glimpse of the phone's design, revealing a punch-hole screen, triple rear cameras, and the inclusion of VCS text.

The standard S18 variant is set to be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, boasting a performance score surpassing one million points, according to the company.

On the other hand, the S18 Pro will run on the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, achieving an impressive score of nearly 1.6 million, as stated by the company. The phone features a 50MP Sony IMX920 flagship main camera, akin to the X100 model, alongside a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor and the identical 12MP 50mm 2X telephoto portrait lens found in the X90s.

Additional noteworthy features include a 50MP front camera with dual soft LED lights, a 120Hz OLED screen, and a 5000mAh battery, making it the slimmest 5000mAh mobile phone in 2023, according to the company.

Accompanying the announcement are shared portrait images, including captures from the telephoto camera, as well as a group portrait taken with the phone. Further details are expected to be unveiled in the upcoming days.
