TCL P80 Ultra and P80 Pro launched Globally with 6.83-inch 1.5K 120Hz NXTPAPER AMOLED display alongside TCL P80
TCL has launched its latest P80 Series smartphones at IFA 2026, expanding the lineup with three models: the TCL P80 Ultra, TCL P80 Pro, and TCL P80 in the Global Market. The new series builds on TCL’s display innovations showcased earlier this year at MWC 2026, while offering different camera systems, processors, battery capacities, and storage configurations across the range.
NXTPAPER AMOLED Display Technology
One of the key highlights of the P80 Series is TCL’s NXTPAPER AMOLED technology, available on the P80 Ultra and P80 Pro. The technology combines the deep contrast and vibrant colors of AMOLED panels with a matte, low-reflective surface designed to reduce glare, blue-light exposure, and eye strain.
All three smartphones feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K display with a 2772 × 1280 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3200 nits peak brightness, and an anti-fingerprint coating. The standard P80 comes with a conventional AMOLED panel, while the P80 Pro and P80 Ultra add the NXTPAPER layer and a dedicated physical NXTPAPER key on the side of the device.
Camera Configurations
The main differences between the three models are seen in their camera hardware and processing platforms.
- The TCL P80 Ultra sits at the top of the lineup with a triple-camera setup. It features a 50MP 3× periscope telephoto camera with OIS and EIS, supporting 3× optical zoom and up to 6× lossless zoom. The telephoto camera is joined by a 50MP primary sensor with a 1/1.56-inch sensor size, f/1.88 aperture, OIS, and EIS, along with an 8MP autofocus ultra-wide camera.
- The TCL P80 Pro uses the same 50MP primary camera and 8MP autofocus ultra-wide sensor as the Ultra but does not include the dedicated periscope telephoto camera.
- The standard TCL P80 also features a dual-camera setup comprising a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, targeting everyday photography requirements.
All three models are equipped with a 32MP front-facing camera capable of recording 4K video at 30fps.
