Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 2026 Olympic Edition launched for Milano Cortina 2026 Athletes
Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, a special-edition smartphone created exclusively for athletes participating in the upcoming Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
As a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, Samsung will provide the customized device to around 3,800 athletes representing nearly 90 countries. The initiative is designed to support competitors during their stay in the Olympic Village while also helping them capture and share their experiences throughout the Games.
Design and Hardware -
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition features a unique design inspired by the 2026 Winter Games. It sports a signature blue glass back, reflecting the host nation’s “Italian azure” while staying true to Samsung’s brand identity. This is complemented by a custom gold metal frame, symbolizing the pursuit of podium glory.
The box also includes a special clear case with a blue circular magnet encircled by a gold laurel leaf motif. On the software front, the device comes with a custom UI and exclusive wallpapers inspired by the interaction between skate blades and ice.
In terms of hardware, the Olympic Edition retains the same specifications as the standard Galaxy Z Flip7. It offers a compact foldable form factor with a new edge-to-edge FlexWindow, along with a dual camera setup featuring a 50MP wide camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens.
AI Features for Athletes -
The smartphone is loaded with Galaxy AI features aimed at helping athletes with communication, scheduling, and content creation during the Games:
- Interpreter - An on-device real-time translation tool that works even without a network connection, making it useful in areas with limited connectivity.
- Now Brief - Provides daily summaries including reminders, calendar events, and fitness updates.
- Photo Assist - AI-powered photo editing tools for object removal and background adjustments.
- Dual Recording - An exclusive camera mode that uses both front and rear cameras simultaneously to capture athletes’ reactions along with their surroundings.
Games Integration and Software Experience -
The Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will serve as a key device for the “Victory Selfie” program, which will make its Winter Olympics debut at Milano Cortina 2026. The program allows medalists to take photos directly from the podium, and for the first time, it has been extended to include team sports events.
Samsung also introduced the “Victory Profile” initiative, using the Galaxy S25 Ultra to capture portraits of athletes from selected National Olympic Committees, showcasing their stories beyond competition.
To simplify daily life in the Olympic Village, the device comes preloaded with several essential services:

Availability -
Distribution of the Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition will begin on January 30, with devices made available to athletes across Olympic Villages in six host cities.
Samsung will also set up on-site “Open Stations” to offer technical support, device setup, data transfers, and activation services.
