Samsung planning to launch the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in January, might just be the cheapest of the bunch

We've already heard that Samsung is going to release the Galaxy Grand Lite and the Galaxy Note 3 Lite at MWC 2014 in February, so why leave the tablets behind. Sources say that Samsung is also going to launch the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite in January before MWC, which might just be the cheapest Galaxy tablet till date. Much else is not known at this point, but it seems that Samsung is preparing an entire range of "Lite" smartphones and tablets to enter emerging markets and provide decent options at a lower price point. According to the report the Tab 3 Lite will cost around $135 or €100 in Europe, which means it can come down to about $100 when it comes to the US.

The Galaxy Tab 3 Lite much like its more powerful brethren will come in WiFi only and 3G + WiFi variants. The color choices too have been penned down, according to the report as Cream White and Ebony Black. The cream white variant of the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite WiFi will hit first in second week of January 2014, followed by the cellular 3G or 4G LTE variant next week. The Ebony black variants of the WiFi and 3G + WiFi variants will go on sale in the fourth and sixth week of January 2014 respectively. However, these are tentative launch dates as we don't have any official word yet from Samsung.

The specs of the device are also not known at this point, but if we ventured a guess, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite would have a 7-inch 1280x 800 pixels display, with a dual-core SoC, 1 GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which would be expandable.
