Samsung Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 launched Globally with 6.6-inch 120Hz FHD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display, Exynos 1480/1380 SoC
Samsung has launched its latest smartphone the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35 in both the Indian and global markets, fulfilling its earlier promises. It has a 6.6-inch 120Hz FHD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED display, the A55 is fueled by the latest Exynos 1480 SoC, offering a 15% increase in performance compared to its predecessor, the A54, thanks to its enhanced GPU and NPU. Additionally, Samsung highlights that the A55 incorporates a cooling system that is 70% larger than that of the A54.
Meanwhile, the A35 is driven by the Exynos 1380 SoC, which powered last year's Galaxy A54 model. Both smartphones feature a 50MP main camera with OIS and video digital image stabilization (VDIS), alongside a 5MP macro sensor. The A55 includes a 12MP ultra-wide camera, while the A35 is equipped with an 8MP ultra-wide camera.
Running on Android 14 with One UI 6.1, Samsung pledges up to four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates for both devices. Security enhancements such as Knox Vault are incorporated, along with new photography features inspired by Galaxy's flagship camera innovations like Vision Booster.
With IP67 ratings for dust and water resistance and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front, the A55 also features a metal frame. Both phones are powered by a 5000mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging, although chargers are not included in the package.
