Redmi Note 14 Pro+ with 6200mAh silicon-carbon battery, and Appeared on Geekbench Revealing Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC, 16GB RAM

Xiaomi is preparing to launch its latest Redmi Note 14 Pro series on September 26th in China. Recently, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ appeared on the Geekbench AI benchmark, confirming that it will be the first device to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC.

For reference, the previous Note 13 Pro+ was equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra, while the Note 13 Pro featured the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2. This time, both phones are expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC.

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 offers around 20% better performance and 45% power efficiency, thanks to TSMC’s 4nm process, compared to Samsung's process used in previous generations. The new Qualcomm Adreno 810 GPU also delivers up to 40% improved performance, while the integrated Qualcomm AI Engine boosts AI capabilities by over 30% compared to the 7s Gen 2.

Recently, the company confirmed that the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ will feature a 6200mAh silicon-carbon battery, marking the largest battery ever used in a Redmi phone. For comparison, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ had a 5000mAh battery.

Additionally, the company announced that the Note 14 Pro+ will support 90W fast charging, slightly lower than the 120W found in the Note 13 Pro+. As a special offer for the first sale, Xiaomi will provide a five-year battery warranty, including free battery replacements.

The self-developed battery in the Note 14 Pro+ is a first for the mid-range segment, offering an energy density of 814Wh/L, setting a new record for Xiaomi. This is 30% higher than previous models. The custom 2.8V supercharging chip ensures efficient low-temperature endurance, promising an ultra-long battery life of up to four years.

Rumours suggest the Redmi Note 14 Pro will come with a 5500mAh battery, compared to the 5100mAh battery in the Note 13 Pro, while maintaining the same 67W fast charging capability.

We can expect to learn more about the display, SoC, and other details of the phone in the coming days, ahead of the official launch of the Note 14 Pro series on September 26th.
