Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Mobile Platform launched with 2.3 GHz clock speeds
Qualcomm quietly unveiled the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, their newest mid-range 5G System on Chip (SoC). Bearing the part number SM6375, it's essentially an overclocked iteration of the Snapdragon 695 introduced in 2021, rather than a direct successor to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1.
Featuring Qualcomm's Kryo CPU with clock speeds up to 2.3 GHz, a slight bump from the 2.2 GHz prime cores of its predecessor, it delivers a modest 4.5% performance enhancement. The Qualcomm Adreno GPU remains unchanged, as indicated by recent benchmark leaks confirming the presence of the same Adreno 619 GPU.
The Snapdragon X51 5G Modem-RF System enables support for both sub-6 and mmWave frequencies. It is paired with the Qualcomm FastConnect 6200 Mobile Connectivity System for 2×2 Wi-Fi 6. Additionally, it incorporates triple 12-bit ISPs, utilizes the 6nm process, and offers compatibility with Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ Technology.
The moto g85 is poised to be the inaugural device featuring the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, according to the latest benchmark leaks, with an anticipated launch later this month.
Furthermore, the product brief mentions the part number SM6370, indicating a non-5G variant of the chip, suggesting the likelihood of a 4G version as well.
