POCO F6 Specs Surfaced Online Revealing Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, 50MP Sony sensor
POCO is preparing to unveil its next addition to its mid-range F series lineup the POCO F6 on a global scale soon. In China, it will be launched under the Redmi brand as part of a new series, with Xiaomi already confirming that the device will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 -
The specifications of the global version of the POCO F6 have now been revealed. According to information obtained by Android Headlines from the HyperOS source code of the phone with the model number "N16T" and codename "peridot," the F6 will feature the same Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC, marking a significant upgrade from the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 found in the POCO F5.
Cameras -
Leaked details also indicate that the phone will incorporate a 50MP Sony IMX882 sensor, the same sensor utilized in devices such as the realme 12 Pro and the iQOO Z9, representing a notable improvement over the 64MP OmniVision OV64B40 sensor found in the POCO F5. Additionally, the phone is rumored to include an 8MP Sony IMX355 sensor for the ultra-wide camera and an OmniVision OV20B40 sensor for the front camera, likely a 20MP sensor. It remains uncertain whether the phone will retain the 2MP macro camera from the F5.
Display -
The POCO F6 is reportedly equipped with an AMOLED display panel sourced from two vendors, TCL and Tianma. Xiaomi recently teased a Redmi phone for the Chinese market featuring sleek bezels, indicating a similar display can be expected for the POCO F6.
Charging -
A Redmi phone with the model number 24069RA21C appeared in 3C certification in China, revealing support for 90W fast charging, a notable increase from the previous model's 67W fast charging.
Launch Date -
The global debut of the POCO F6 is anticipated in April or May, following the introduction of the Redmi phone in China in early April. The launch is likely to coincide with an unveiling in India, and for global markets, the POCO F6 Pro is also expected to be announced.
