Google Pixel Fold 2 CAD-based Images Surfaced Online with 7.9-inch Foldable Display, Under Screen Camera

Following the emergence of live images earlier this month, CAD-based renders of the Pixel Fold 2, Google's second foldable phone, have been unveiled, courtesy of @OnLeaks. These renders depict a larger 6.4" outer screen and a 7.9-inch foldable inner screen, a significant increase compared to the 7.6" foldable and 5.8" outer displays featured in the initial Pixel Fold. Additionally, the render showcases triple rear cameras for the phone, including a telephoto camera.

Furthermore, it reveals a camera positioned on the right side of the inner screen, reportedly incorporating an under-display camera setup accompanied by a new sensor. When folded, the Fold 2 is reported to measure 155.2 x 77.1 x 10.54 mm, as opposed to 139.7 x 79.5 x 12.1mm, making it slimmer and narrower but taller than the older model.

It is anticipated that the Fold 2 will be powered by Tensor G4, with a recent prototype boasting 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage, representing an upgrade from last year's model.

The original Pixel Fold was unveiled in May 2023 at Google I/O, suggesting that a teaser for the Fold 2 may be expected at I/O 2024, with a potential launch later this year alongside the Pixel 9 series.
