OPPO Find X9 Ultra launched with 6.82-inch 2K 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, Dual 200MP cameras

OPPO has launched its latest flagship smartphone in the Find X9 series, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra in China, following earlier teasers. Marketed under the theme “Optics Supreme, Pocket Hasselblad,” the device is targeted at photography enthusiasts and creative professionals.

Design and Durability -

Drawing inspiration from the Hasselblad X2D 100C Earth Explorer Limited Edition, the Find X9 Ultra features a rear panel made from a new-generation eco-friendly and durable leather, highlighted by the Hasselblad branding. It is offered in three colour options: Earth Tundra, Polar Glacier, and Velvet Sand Canyon.

In terms of durability, the device is equipped with Crystal Shield Glass and has earned a Swiss SGS five-star certification for drop and shock resistance. It also offers comprehensive water and dust protection with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings.

Advanced Imaging System -

The Find X9 Ultra brings a major overhaul to its camera system, incorporating a six-lens setup designed to enhance resolution and dynamic range. Key highlights include:

• 10x Optical Zoom Telephoto - A Hasselblad-tuned lens delivering native optical zoom, extendable up to 20x optical-quality zoom, ideal for concerts, portrait compression, and long-distance shots.
• 200MP Ultra-Clear Telephoto - Equipped with a large sensor for improved dynamic range and enhanced light sensitivity.
• 200MP Ultra-Clear Main Camera - Features a large sensor to boost light intake and deliver higher pixel detail.

The device also debuts OPPO’s LUMO internal optical zoom technology, which increases pixel density by four times at 2x and 6x zoom levels, effectively covering the full “holy trinity” focal range with support for 8K image quality.

Hasselblad Master Mode -

The smartphone incorporates the next-generation Hasselblad Master Mode, introducing three core features to elevate image quality:

• Hasselblad True Detail - Enables direct capture of 8K ultra-high-resolution images across six focal lengths
• Hasselblad Natural Color - Leverages the latest full-link ProXDR technology for precise and natural colour reproduction
• Master Mode Original Film - Uses computational optics to recreate the tones and colour profiles of classic film, offering nine unique film styles

Professional Videography Capabilities -

Designed with video creators in mind, the Find X9 Ultra features a large-sensor professional video lens system comprising seven high-quality optical lenses. It supports advanced recording formats, including 8K at 30fps and 4K at 120fps in 10-bit Log.

The introduction of O-Log2 enhances detail retention in shadows and midtones. The device also supports the ACES professional colour workflow and allows custom 3D LUT imports, enabling real-time colour grading previews. To further expand its video capabilities, OPPO has partnered with TILTA to develop a professional ecosystem, including support for ND filters, manual focus accessories, and internal HDMI output for collaborative shooting setups.

Display and Performance -

The device features a 2K eye-care display built with X3 flagship luminescent material, offering a 144Hz ultra-high refresh rate. It also includes pixel-level gamma calibration and various visual comfort enhancements.

Powering the device is the Tide Engine paired with the 5th-generation Snapdragon 8 Ultra processor, optimized to deliver sustained 144Hz performance in demanding MOBA and FPS mobile games.

Battery and Connectivity -

To handle intensive usage, the Find X9 Ultra is equipped with a 7,050mAh Glacier Battery, utilizing a dedicated energy concentration chip and advanced spherical silicon-carbon anode material. It supports 100W SuperVOOC wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone integrates a mountain-and-sea communication enhancement chip, enabling dual-satellite connectivity for calls and messaging in areas without cellular coverage. Audio and haptics are delivered through symmetrical dual speakers and a bionic vibration motor.

Alongside the smartphone, OPPO has introduced the Hasselblad Earth Explorer Master Set. Each individually serialized kit includes:
