OnePlus One gets Android 5.0 Lollipop Cyanogen OS 12 update

OnePlus has started rolling out Cyanogen OS 12 update based on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop for the OnePlus One. The new update brings in Material Design, support for 64-bit architecture, bolder color schemes throughout the OS and a lot of animations.

CM12 also introduces paid apps which can now be purchased from the Theme app, but not to worry free themes are still available. Cyanogen has also packed in its own email app with CM12 which is powered by Boxer allowing you to add multiple email accounts, configure what swiping left and right does on an email alongwith Exchange support.

The CM12 update for the OnePlus One weighs in at 598.3 MB and is available Over-the-air (OTA). So go ahead, connect your phone to WiFi and install the new Lollipop goodness. You also have the choice of installing OnePlus' Oxygen OS which is also based on Android 5.0 Lollipop but for that you would have to wipe your device clean.
