OnePlus Buds 3 to be launched on January 4 with ANC, IP55 rating, Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair

OnePlus has officially announced the launch of the OnePlus Buds 3, the company's upcoming True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds in China on January 4th, coinciding with the introduction of the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone, after rumours, and certification.

Leaked images reveal the earbuds in Gray and Blue colors, featuring a glossy finish for the outer part and a matte finish for the inner part, as well as a matte finish for the case. The design appears reminiscent of the Buds Pro 2.

As per earlier speculations, the buds are expected to incorporate a 10.4mm woofer, and a 6mm tweeter, and offer 48dB of Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). They are anticipated to carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance and deliver 9 hours of battery life, mirroring the Buds Pro 2, with an extension to 33 hours using the charging case.

When using ANC, the battery life is rumored to be 6 hours, extending to 22 hours with the case. Connectivity features will include Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair, and dual connectivity support. Certification details indicate that the case will house a 520mAh battery with 4.5W input and 1.2W output, while each earbud will be equipped with a 58mAh battery.

The official pricing details are expected to be revealed next week during the official launch. It is anticipated that the OnePlus Buds 3 will also be launched in India alongside the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R on January 23rd.
