Nothing Phone (2) to be launched this British Summer with New Design, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SOC
Today, Nothing has confirmed the launch of its upcoming flagship smartphone the Nothing Phone (2) in this British summer, which begins in June and ends in August. Nothing’s founder Carl Pei confirmed the release of Phone (2) later this year, back in March. The teaser video shows a new blinking red light hinting at a new rear design, but it is still expected to feature a transparent back.
Carl Pei confirmed that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Series chipset, without revealing the exact model number at the MWC 2023. But, the LinkedIn Alex Katouzian, SVP and General Manager of Mobile accidentally confirmed that the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor before editing it to Snapdragon 8 Series.
A few months back, Carl said In an interview that the Phone (2) will launch in the US for the first time. He added that the phone will be ‘more premium’ than its predecessor, and that software will be the team’s primary focus. The company now has nearly 100 people working in the software team, bringing the best experience possible to both the current and new phones.
We should know more details and the full specifications of the Nothing Phone (2) in the coming weeks.
