Nokia D1C budget Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone with Snapdragon 430, 3GB RAM surfaces online

Till now we had heard that Nokia was working on two high-end Android smartphone to make a comeback, but it seems that the company is going back to its budget roots as well.

According to a benchmark listing on GeekBench, the Nokia D1C would run on the Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. This would be the first Nokia smartphone built under the HMD global and Foxconn (FIH) partnership.

Although the listing doesn't shed much light on anything else like display size, resolution or cameras, its good to see that the company may be working on a budget smartphone as well. Now, getting back to what we already know, the Snapdragon 430 SoC runs on eight Cortex-A53 cores clocked at upto 1.4GHz and we would have 3GB of memory on the device. The chipset supports display resolution up to full-HD, so that's what we may see on the phone as well depending on display size. Again, maximum upto 21MP camera modules are supported with 1080p 30FPS video recording.

Connectivity option on the chipset include dual-SIM 4G LTE support, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 LE. We will know more on Nokia's planned comeback by the end of this year.
