Moto X Play gets Android 6.0.1 update in Canada and India

Motorola has started sending out Android 6.0.1 update to the Moto X Play in Canada and India. The OTA update is about 388MB in size and brings in the March security patch alongwith the new Emoji pack.

As always, there are stability improvements and bug fixes in store as well. Strangely, you also get an option to open the camera app by double pressing the power button like the Nexus 6p and 5X. The double-twist to open the camera app should still be available though.

Then you also have the option to turn on or off the camera shutter sound, always a welcome settings. The new OTA update for the Moto X Play carries the version number v24.61.52. Do tell us your experience with the new update in the comments section as at present we don't have a unit to test it on.
