Rumor Roundup - OnePlus 3 with Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM launching on April 7th?
OnePlus 3 is coming earlier than expected. GizmoChina has reported that OnePlus is holding a press event in Beijing on April 7th where the OnePlus 3 could be launched.
Apart from this tidbit we also have some leaked benchmarks which say that the OnePlus 3 would run on the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with 4GB RAM and come with a 16MP rear camera. There would be an 8MP front-camera here as well. Internal storage is being pegged at 32GB which may allow for microSD expansion.
The OnePlus 3 specs on AnTuTu carry the model number A3000 and there's is word of a 5.5-inch display here as well. Moreover, it is expected to run on Android Marshmallow with Oxygen OS on top.
According to industry insiders, the design of the OnePlus 3 would be quite different from the predecessor, but we will see the alert slider and USB Type-C here as well. Now for a word of caution, Pete Lau had earlier suggested that the OnePlus 3 would be launched in Q2 2016, so seeing it so early seems improbable.
