Moto M Launched with 5.5-inch AMOLED display, metal body, rear fingerprint sensor priced about Rs. 19700

Moto M has just been launched in China with a 5.5-inch AMOLED display protected by 2.5D curved glass running on the new Helio P15 processor. There's 4GB RAM onboard with 32GB internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card slot. You have two nano-SIM cards on the device with 4G VoLTE support.

The build on the device is quite different from the previous-gen Moto devices. You have an all metal body which is curved at the back which gives the phone a very thin 4.3mm frame at its thinnest point. It still packs a sizeable 3050 mAh battery inside which charges via the USB type-C port of the phone with support for Turbo Charging.

You have a 16MP rear camera here with phase-detection autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and 8MP front camera with 85-degree wide angle lens for selfies. The fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back and instead of the square one in the front you have the Motorola branding.

There are twin stereo speakers on the phone which provide 360-degree sound, one at the top which doubles up as the earpiece and another at the bottom. This arrangement is similar to the iPhone 7. With Dolby Atmos support, we expect good audio quality from the phone as well.

Although the Moto M is not completely dust or water resistant, Motorola has dual coated it with P2i nano-coating both inside and out to help it survive light splashes and even a bit of rain.

Moto M Release Date and Pricing

The Moto M has been priced at 1999 Yuan (Rs. 19,700 or $295). It will be available in gold color starting November 11 in China. At present there is no word on whether it will be sold in India or other regions.
