Meizu M3S now official comes with a metal body, fingerprint sensor starting at $106
Meizu has updated its M3 smartphone with a metal body and fingerprint sensor. The new Meizu M3S runs on the MediaTek MT6750 octa-core MediaTek processor with 2GB RAM and 3GB RAM options.
The Meizu M3S has a 5-inch display with 2.5D curved glass like the M3 Note. Its quite thin at 8.3mm and manages to still keep a 3020 mAh battery inside. The fingerprint sensor here is embedded in the home button up front which has been updated with mTouch 2.1 support. The multi-function home button can be used as the back key and also as a power key to lock/unlock the device.
There is a 13MP rear camera on the Meizu M3S with 5 element lens, f/2.2 aperture lens and dual-LED flash. You have phase-detection autofocus available for the rear camera. A 5MP front-camera is also present here with f.2.0 aperture.
The M3S too is a dual-SIM 4G LTE capable device, but may possibly come with a hybrid SIM card slot. There's support for VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Meizu M3S Pricing and Availability
The Meizu M3S comes in two variants, 2GB RAM with 16GB storage priced at CNY 699 ($106 or Rs. 7100 approx) and 3GB RAM with 32GB storage priced at CNY 899 ($135 or Rs. 9100 approx). It would be available in four colors, gold, rose gold, silver and grey. It will go on sale June 18th in China.
