LG Optimus F3 announced for $30 on Sprint, will be available beginning June 14
LG and Sprint have announced the Optimus F3, with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, LTE connectivity and a 4-inch IPS WVGA (480x800 pixels) Gorilla Glass clad display. There's support for LTE on Sprint's network as well. The Optimus F3 will cost $29.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate on a 2-year commitment with the carrier, and will be available beginning June 14.
The phone also features a 5MP primary and secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls. There's NFC, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 2460 mAh battery in the Optimus F3 as well. On the software front it has LG's own QuickMemo, QSlide 2.0 and Qtranslator apps. The phone also has some accessibility options like Google's TalkBack app which aids vision-impaired users to use the smartphone as well as the notification system that glows in different colors based on the event causing the notification, to assist the hearing-impaired.
