LG G Pad 8.3 becomes the first Google Play Edition tablet, now available for $349

There have been rumors of a Nexus 8 floating around, but its time to put them to rest. LG has just officially announced the LG G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition. This makes it the first Google Play Edition tablet available on the US Google Play Store for $349. It comes with the same 8.3-inch 1920x1200 pixels display, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 5MP primary camera and 1.3MP front camera. But the only difference being that the G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition will run a vanilla build of Android.

President and CEO of LG Dr. Jong-seok Park had this to say:
