Lenovo Legion Y700 AI (2026) launched with 8.4-inch 2.5K 165Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, 5G Dual SIM support
Lenovo has officially launched its latest gaming tablet in the Y700 series, the Lenovo Legion Y700 AI (2026) in China, succeeding the previous-generation Y700 model. Designed as a compact flagship tablet for gaming and demanding workloads, the new device is already available for purchase in China.
Display and Design
The Lenovo Y700 AI (2026) sports an 8.4-inch OLED display with a 2560×1600-pixel resolution. The panel offers a 165Hz refresh rate, an ultra-high instantaneous touch sampling rate of up to 3400Hz, and up to 4000 nits of local peak brightness.
- Dimensions & Weight: The tablet measures just 6.5mm thick and weighs around 298g.
- Ergonomics: Rounded corners and a compact form factor make it comfortable to hold during extended handheld use.
- Color Options: It is available in Ice White, Cloud Purple, and Cloud Tide Purple.
Performance and Cooling
Powering the tablet is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with high-speed LPDDR5T memory clocked at up to 10667Mbps and UFS 4.1 Pro storage. Lenovo claims the tablet can achieve an AnTuTu benchmark score of 4,585,844.
For thermal management during intensive gaming and other demanding tasks, the Y700 AI (2026) uses a third-generation Qiankun cooling system. The setup features a centrally positioned thermal architecture and a large 15,000mm² vapor chamber (VC) for improved heat dissipation.
Connectivity, Audio and Battery
- Ports & Video: The tablet features two USB Type-C ports with USB 3.2 Gen 2 transfer speeds. The port positioned on the wider side also supports DisplayPort video output.
- Network & Cellular: It supports 5G dual SIM dual standby (DSDS), with a physical SIM slot and N79 band support. A distributed multi-antenna design helps maintain stable connectivity in both landscape and portrait orientations. Cellular calling and mobile data are also supported.
- Audio & Haptics: The device comes with two premium X-axis linear vibration motors, dual ultra-linear speakers, and Dolby Atmos support.
- Battery & Charging: It packs a 7,470mAh battery with support for 68W Flash Charge.
Software and Accessories
Lenovo has equipped the Y700 AI (2026) with several AI-powered capabilities, including an AI voice assistant, real-time simultaneous interpretation, active sensing, and context-aware selection search. The tablet also supports a range of external accessories, including styluses, gaming controllers, and arcade docks.
