iQOO Z11 launched with 6.83-inch 1.5K 165Hz OLED display, Dimensity 8500 SoC, IP69 ratings, 9020mAh battery

iQOO has launched its latest mid-range samrtphone in the Z series, the iQOO Z11 in China, after teasing. The phone positions itself as a strong mid-to-high-range contender for users seeking long battery life, ultra-smooth displays, and stable gaming performance. The smartphone brings notable hardware upgrades, including a significantly larger battery and MediaTek’s latest-generation chipset.

Display -

The device sports a 6.83-inch flat OLED display with ultra-slim bezels. It marks the first iQOO smartphone to feature a 165Hz refresh rate, designed to enhance gaming smoothness while incorporating eye-protection features.

• Brightness - Delivers up to 2000 nits of peak global brightness for improved outdoor visibility.
• Performance Optimization - Offers a 95% first-frame brightness ratio to minimize ghosting, along with an optimized touch system that reduces tap and swipe latency at 165Hz.

Performance and Processing -

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset.

• Architecture - Built on TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process, the chip adopts an all-big-core architecture using the new Cortex-A725 cores, delivering better energy efficiency compared to the previous A720 generation.
• Software Enhancements - Backed by iQOO’s “Monster Over-Core Engine,” which includes the “Prophet Scheduler” for efficient background task management and the “Lightning Accelerator” to maintain stable frame rates during demanding gameplay.
• Cooling System - Equipped with a 7K Ice Dome VC liquid cooling solution for sustained performance.
• Benchmark Performance - The company claims an overall benchmark score exceeding 2.62 million.

Battery life is a central highlight of the iQOO Z11.

• Battery Capacity - The device houses a massive 9,020mAh “Blue Ocean” battery — the largest ever in an iQOO smartphone. Despite this, it maintains a slim form factor using fourth-generation silicon anode technology and second-generation semi-solid-state battery cells, which also enhance low-temperature performance.
• Endurance Claims - Managed by the Blue Ocean Battery Life System, the company states the phone can handle over 10 hours of mixed heavy usage while retaining more than 50% battery.
• Charging - Supports 90W wired flash charging and reverse charging for powering other devices.

Camera Capabilities -

Although performance-focused, the Z11 includes a capable camera setup:

• Primary Camera - 50MP main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
• Imaging Software - A proprietary portrait algorithm maintains detail and texture consistency across various focal lengths.

The iQOO Z11 adopts a “floating porthole” camera module with rounded edges and a balanced, symmetrical look.
