HUAWEI WATCH D3 launched Globally with 24h BP monitoring, slimmer design, and Advanced Health Tracking
HUAWEI has launched its latest third-generation health-focused smartwatch, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 at its global launch event in Germany. The device brings 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring to the wrist, enabling users to track blood pressure continuously throughout the day and night instead of relying only on occasional clinical measurements.
24-Hour Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring
Unlike conventional blood pressure checks, which provide readings at a specific point in time, the HUAWEI WATCH D3 is designed for continuous ambulatory monitoring in line with the practice guidelines of the European Society of Hypertension.
The smartwatch uses a mechanical micro-airbag built into the strap, combined with a high-precision pressure sensor and adaptive algorithms. The system automatically measures blood pressure at intervals of 15 to 30 minutes during both daytime and nighttime. Its low-noise inflation mechanism is designed to minimize disruption while the user is sleeping.
The blood pressure monitoring feature carries CE marking under the EU Medical Device Regulation. This allows users to maintain longitudinal blood pressure trends that can be shared with healthcare professionals. The watch also supports on-demand measurements, allowing users to take readings immediately before or after exercise.
Design and Form Factor
The HUAWEI WATCH D3 has been redesigned for comfortable 24-hour use, including overnight monitoring. Its compact construction measures 11.3mm in thickness and weighs 40 grams without the strap.
- Thickness: 11.3mm
- Weight: 40 grams without the strap
- Strap: Slim airbag design intended to distribute contact pressure across the wrist

Comprehensive Health Monitoring
In addition to blood pressure tracking, the smartwatch offers a range of health and wellness monitoring features.
Health Glance: Provides an overview of up to 11 biometric measurements, including blood pressure, heart rate, and SpO₂, in around 60 seconds.
Health Insights: Combines physiological measurements with long-term activity and sleep information to identify broader health and wellness trends.
Health Community: Allows users to remotely share health information with family members and provides automated alerts when unusual readings are detected.
