HTC announced Desire 500 with 4.3-inch display, quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor in tow
HTC Desire 500 is now official, its a mid-range smartphone with a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The phone has a 8-megapixel primary camera with BSI sensor for better low-light photography as well as a single-LED flash. Don't worry there's a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera as well for those self-portraits that we love so much.
In term of software, the phone runs Sense 5 Ui on top of Android and includes BlinkFeed, Video Highlight and Beats Audio support. The Desire 500 also comes with Dual-SIM capability and NFC according to the regions it is being sold in. The phone has been priced at 11,900 New Taiwan Dollar (about Rs. 23,780) and is expected to go on sale starting August 1st. The phone may come to India as well.
