HONOR has officially launched its latest smartphone in the X70 series, the HONOR X70 Pro Max in China, on its website ahead of the upcoming launch of the X80 Pro Max. The device focuses on durability, battery endurance, and a design inspired by traditional Chinese aesthetics.
The smartphone is offered in four color variants: Phantom Night Black, Bamboo Rhyme Green, Sunrise Gold, and Phantom Purple.

The HONOR X70 Pro Max continues the brand’s signature Star Ring camera design while placing a strong emphasis on durability. It carries SGS Gold Label certification for 10-sided drop resistance and is engineered to survive drops from heights of up to 2.5 meters. The device also features IP6X dust resistance and IPX9K water resistance ratings, ensuring reliable protection against harsh environmental conditions.
At the front, the smartphone sports a 6.79-inch flat OLED display with ultra-slim 1.3mm bezels. Display highlights include:

Massive Battery and Fast Charging
One of the standout features of the HONOR X70 Pro Max is its large 8560mAh Qinghai Lake silicon-carbon battery. According to HONOR, the battery is designed to maintain healthy performance for up to six years of usage.
Official battery endurance figures claim support for:

Charging is handled by 90W HONOR SuperCharge technology, enabling quick top-ups despite the battery’s substantial capacity.
Performance, Software, and Connectivity
Powering the device is an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 mobile platform. HONOR combines the chipset with an AI-driven resource scheduling engine designed to optimize system performance and efficiency. The company claims the software-hardware integration can deliver a smooth user experience for as long as six years.
The phone ships with MagicOS 10, featuring a lightweight system engine that enhances animation smoothness, touch responsiveness, and intelligent resource management.
For connectivity, HONOR has equipped the X70 Pro Max with its Hongyan communication weak-signal enhancement technology and a four-wing antenna architecture. The system intelligently switches between four Wi-Fi antennas and utilizes 93.2% of the device’s mid-frame area to improve signal reception. Rider Outdoor Mode 2.0 is also included to optimize network performance in outdoor environments.
