HMD announces Nokia 6, first Android Nougat smartphone with 4GB RAM, Metal Body
HMD Global has just announced the Nokia 6, its first Android flavored smartphone. One of the most anticipated launches of 2017, the Nokia 6 packs a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on the octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor with Android 7.0 Nougat onboard, along with 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable storage.

The entire phone is made of aluminum alloy and it has dual speakers as well, one at the top and another at the bottom which use dual amplifier chips for louder, crisper audio. Then there's Dolby Atmos support available as well, just as the leaked packaging said yesterday. On the photography front, there's a 16MP rear camera on the Nokia 6 with phase-detection autofocus, dual-LED flash, larger 1.0-micron pixel size and f/2.0 aperture. There's an 8MP front facing camera here as well with even larger 1.12-micron pixel size for better low light selfies. Not to forget, it also packs a fingerprint sensor up front as a physical home button flanked by capacitive navigation keys.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, FM Radio and USB OTG. It also has a notification LED up front and packs a 3000 mAh battery which is non-removable.
Nokia 6 - Pricing and Availability
The Nokia 6 has been priced at 1699 Yuan (Rs. 16740 or $245) and it will be available from JD.com in China in the first half of 2017. It is for now exclusive to China.
