ASUS ROG Ally handheld launched with 7-inch FHD 120Hz display, Ryzen Z1 / Z1 Extreme, 16GB RAM
ASUS has launched its first gaming handheld computer that runs Windows 11 the ROG Ally. It has a 7-inch FHD screen with 120Hz refresh rate, 7ms response time, FreeSync Premium, Dolby Vision, Gorilla Glass Victus, and Gorilla Glass DXC. It runs on the AMD Ryzen Z1 / Z1 Extreme APU with 16GB LDPPR5 6400MHz RAM, up to 512GB of NVMe M.2 2230 PCIe Gen 4 storage, and also has a UHS-II microSD card slot.
The ROG Ally comes with AMD Ryzen Z1 series of APUs with up to 8 cores, 16 threads, and 8.6 teraflops of graphics performance, RDNA 3 graphics engine has support for AMD’s upscaling technologies like Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) and FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR).
It also supports the ROG XG Mobile suite of external GPUs for ultra-high-end performance and lets you connect a monitor, mouse, and keyboard. With support for up to a GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, it lets you play AAA games at 4K with ray tracing and DLSS3.
It is powered by a 40Wh battery pack that supports 65W PD fast charging, whereas Asus claims up to two hours of endurance in heavy gaming titles ran under the 15W performance mode. Watching Netflix and Youtube for up to 6.8 hours under the 9W silent mode.

Pricing and Availability -
ROG Ally with the Ryzen Z1 Extreme will be available from June 13th, and the pre-order has started now. The Ryzen Z1 variant will be available in Q3 2023. Both come with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for 3 months. Prices are -

- Ryzen Z1/512GB storage version - $599 (Rs. 49,195 approx.)
The ROG XG Mobile with a GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU is already available at the price of $1999 (Rs. 1,64,180 approx.), while the XG Mobile with a Radeon RX 6850M XT is available at the price of $799 (Rs. 65,625 approx.).
