Apple announces WWDC 2026 for June 8 to 12 with Focus on AI, iOS 27, Developer Tools
Apple has announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 8 to June 12. The event will be largely hosted online, with a limited in-person gathering scheduled for opening day at Apple Park in Cupertino, California.
WWDC26 will spotlight updates across Apple’s software ecosystem, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence enhancements, new operating system features, and upgraded developer tools. The conference aims to give developers worldwide early access to new frameworks and opportunities to interact directly with Apple’s engineers and designers.
According to recent reports, iOS 27 will continue using the Liquid Glass design language system-wide, even after recent leadership shifts within Apple’s design team. The update is also expected to include software optimizations supporting a future foldable iPhone. However, as noted by Mark Gurman, Apple has delayed the launch of its anticipated smart home hub while work continues on the next-generation Siri platform.
