Alongwith the iPad Pro, Apple also launched the iPad Mini 4 starting at $399

The Apple iPad Mini didn't get the limelight, which was hogged by the 12.9-inch mammoth iPad Pro. But in its own right, this would be the tablet you are going to get. The iPad Mini 4 retains the same 7.9-inch (2048x1536) pixels Retina display running on the Apple A8X processor.

TouchID Fingerprint sensor is also available on the iPad Mini 4. There is a 4G LTE variant for data, other connectivity options include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth as well as GPS. There's an improved 8MP rear iSight camera here alongwith a 1.2MP front-facing FaceTime HD camera for better selfies. The iPad Mini 4 will be running iOS9 at launch.

Apple again promises 10-hours of battery-life on the new iPad Mini but we can't be certain without an endurance test. If we talk about the previous-gen iPads, the iPad Mini 1 has been discontinued and the ipad Mini 2 is now the base model selling for $269.

The iPad Mini 4 comes in the same three colors as its bigger counterpart, silver, gold and space gray. Prices start at $399 for the 16GB WiFi verstion, $499 with 64GB storage and $599 for the 128GB variant. You can also get the LTE variant of the new iPad for $529 with 16Gb storage, $620 with 64GB storage and $729 with 128GB storage. All these are available starting today.
