Motorola to roll out Android 4.4.3 KitKat to Moto devices this week

Motorola is probably the only company serious about quick Android updates. Motorola just posted on their official blog that the Moto X, Moto G and the Moto E will start getting Android 4.4.3 KitKat this week. But there's more good news, Motorola has said that Moto E users will get the next major update as well.

This week Moto X users on T-Mobile, Moto G users who purchased the phone in the US and Brazil, Moto G 4G LTE as well as the newly launched Moto E purchased in the US or Canada. At present there is no word on when the update will be available in India, but its going to be soon given Motorola's track record.

The latest KitKat update brings an improved dialer, new softer color scheme to match the entire OS better as well as several stability, security and battery-life improvements.

Here are some Motorola specific things being improved being improved upon with the update:

  • Improved camera image quality for Moto X including better consistency of exposure, more realistic flash coloring, and improved photos in low light conditions using front camera. 
  • For Moto X and Moto G, pausing for video recording with a convenient pause/resume button on the viewfinder.
  • Motorola Alert in this update for Moto X and Moto G users. This new app helps give peace of mind by sending periodic messages to the contacts you choose.
