Android 4.4.1 update for the Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 now available, sans camera improvements
Just yesterday we were talking about Android 4.4.1 KitKat update which is going to bring some much needed improvements to the Nexus 5's camera. But it seems that the Nexus 4 and the 2013 Nexus 7 LTE get first dibs on the update, although at present its not being transmitted OTA but manual installation packages are available.
It seems that there are no camera improvements in tow for the Nexus 4 nor the Nexus 7, according to early adopters they didn't event get the new progress bar while taking an HDR photo. Rest of the images taken before and after the Android 4.4.1 update too seem similar. That just means that the camera side of things is for the Nexus 5 only. You can download the manual updates from the links below. However, do keep in mind that you can only update to 4.4.1 if you are running Android 4.4 build KRT16S. To update you can follow Android Central's very handy guide available at the source link.
