LG Nexus 5X Review: Misses the Mark

The Nexus 5X builds on what the Nexus 5 offers, with similar build, better cameras and updated specs. The Nexus 5 was one of my most favorite smartphones at the time, so the Nexus 5X would have been my de-facto choice given my proclivity to stock Android. But with inconsistent performance, a ridiculous price-tag for a very average built device, software issues like frequent app & camera crashes are something which are making me look towards the other Nexus for 2015. On top of that LG packs a USB Type-C to Type-C cable, instead of a Type-C to normal USB cable, which means even after paying a hefty sum you would have to go out and either get an adapter/cable or install third-party apps to transfer files to your device, a very bad out-of-the-box experience.

    7.9

LG got quite a lot right with the Nexus 5, and thought of dumping it all for the Nexus 5X. Starting with app-crashes, inconsistent performance and lackluster build, the Nexus 5X simply misses the mark set by its predecessor.
